So, I have been recently having my Lenten mellow harshed by the news about the priest who denied a woman Eucharist at her mother's funeral because said woman is a lesbian. It...it's a hot button with me and there is a lot of anger, frustration and OT wrath rolled up into this.
I know that I am not alone.
In particular, a friend of mine blogged about how it has really rattled his cage. So, I went looking for something to help him out. At which point Coyote thwacked my nose with a rolled up newspaper which read....
"But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him." (Titus 3:9-10)
OW!
Right, Dad. Gotcha.
I need to re-read Titus.
ReplyDeleteHeh heh...which part? Where it says that bishops need to be married with children? or that we are to ignore the commandments of those who turn away from the truth? Or that people are to obey the governmental authorities?
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot there which applies to today. :)
